Lauren Trautner grew up training at numerous locations around Chicago and Central Illinois including The American Rhythm Center, Lou Conte Dance Studio, Loyola University Chicago, and Illinois State University. In Chicago, she studied tap with Jay Fagan, Martin Tre Dumas III, and Mark Yonally. Her studies have taken her across the country, performing and taking classes at Slide Tap Convention, D.C. Tap Festival, and Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s Rhythm Worlds. In 2014, Lauren was named a Rhythm Worlds Tap Scholar. Lauren has had the honor of performing with the Dig Tap Society under the direction of Sarah Savelli (Chicago, IL) as well as with the Tap Classics Project under the direction of Katherine Kramer (Madison, WI).
Prior to landing in Menomonee Falls, she worked as a choreographer and instructor for tap competition teams in Bloomington, IL, Madison, WI and St. Louis, MO, and has worked as a competition judge nationally. Outside of dance, Miss Lauren goes by Dr. Lauren— she is a pediatric Audiologist in the greater Milwaukee area. She also loves spending time with her husband and son.
